@Ben we currently “send” invites to external users who are ‘warm leads’ (i.e. we know Users Name and Email and their Business (as there are multiple Users in same Business). This is in order to mitigate duplicate entries of Business etc.
For ‘cold leads’ we have a sign up form on our web page which is basically a request for getting the invitation as we dont want anyone logging into our app straight away from sign up page on our website (i.e they are vetted). Or we could have a ‘cold lead’ user from an existing business (but employee of a different location of the business) go through our ‘sign up’ form but then we link them to the existing Business before we end up sending them the invite to their app.
Hopefully that helps answer your question to @artur re why send a sign up to external users?
@Jjenglert Could you please update us on progress with onboarding flow?
It’s crazy how so many new features have been prioritized and released over an essential function like onboarding. On a customer portal product like Softr, none the less, that used to have additional fields on sign up already. Perhaps Softr should have simply included additional fields six months ago with their new release so everyone waiting to launch their migrated apps, finally with email authentication, could have done so already.
